A Taste of Texas Wine & Food Pairing Event at the Texas Tech University McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center (day before Uncorked)

Sponsored by Bayer CropScience, featured local wineries offering wine that paired with various foods throughout the venue. Attendees tasted 12 different wines, all paired with food selected by the Chefs at Top Tier Catering to bring out the flavor of each wine.  Click here for photos of this event!

A special award (Doc McPherson award) was given to Bobby Cox of Pheasant Ridge Winery at the event, honoring this local wine-maker and grape-grower for helping put Lubbock on the map as an important grape-growing and wine-making destination.
