Brandon Creighton serves as the sixth chancellor of the Texas Tech University System, leading one of the nation’s largest public university systems with five universities, more than 64,000 students and 21,000 employees.

An eighth-generation Texan, Creighton brings decades of experience in public service, higher education, and the private-sector. Before becoming chancellor, he served in the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate, where he chaired the Senate Committee on Education (K–16), where he led major reforms in public and higher education, including the creation of the Texas University Fund—providing sustained, long-term funding support for emerging public universities.
