Description
The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will host a Chamber University seminar on “Essential Elements of an Excellent Team” on Thurs., Nov. 17, from 8-11:30 a.m. at Sanford & Tatum Insurance Agency.
The seminar will focus on the Essential Elements of Excellent Teams and how to build one. In work as in life, you can accomplish more as a part of a team than you can by yourself, but there is a big difference between working together and merely working in the same place.
The featured speaker will be Randy Anderson, co-founder of E3 Professional Trainers, which is a Lubbock-based training firm that provides workplace and life training for individuals, teams and companies. In his presentation, you’ll learn practical ways to help draw your people together to work toward common goals, and to share the mutual responsibility and accountability for accomplishing those goals. From identifying the characteristics that make a great teammate, to understanding and maximizing the five key human motivators, this approach to building a team will allow you to lead your team to produce greater results.
Chamber University is designed to address critical business topics and offer tools to navigate and thrive in the ever-changing demands of the 21st century workplace.
Chamber University is sponsored by American National Bank, Workforce Solutions South Plains and United Supermarkets.
The cost of the seminar is $50. Chamber members get a discounted price of $35. Breakfast and check-in will be from 8-8:30 a.m.
Registration is open and reservations can be made by visiting LubbockChamber.com or by calling (806) 761-7000. Changes to reservations may be made until 5 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 15.
