Every election year, the news cycle is filled with information about the races that will be at the top of the ticket. In 2020, that includes not only the Presidential primaries but also U.S. Senate primaries and a plethora of judicial races.

But sometimes the local races get overshadowed and it can be difficult for voters to get information on the rest of the candidates that are on the ballot. Lubbock County will have three separate races for Lubbock County Commissioner up for grabs this year; a Republican primary for both Precincts 1 and 3, and a Democratic primary for Precinct 3.

In order to help you, the voter, get to know these candidates better, the Lubbock Chamber conducted interviews with the candidates from these races. We discussed the future of Lubbock County, how to accommodate the growth we’re experiencing, transportation initiatives, and the Lubbock County Expo Center.
