Sheri Nugent Celebrates 15 Years with Lubbock Chamber
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce is pleased to recognize Sheri Nugent for her 15 years of service to the Lubbock Chamber.
Nugent began her Chamber career on June 26, 2004 as Vice President-Administration before being promoted to Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operations Officer.
As CFO/COO at the 5-Star Accredited Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, Nugent oversees the financial processes as well as internal Chamber operations along with the Membership and Event divisions at the Chamber.
Nugent implemented the Total Resource Campaign (TRC), an all-inclusive sponsorship campaign, in 2011. This campaign creates marketing and strategic partnerships to support the Chamber’s mission to strengthen, promote and serve the business community.
“The TRC continues to be one of the largest revenue generating programs here at the Chamber,” said Eddie McBride, Chamber President and CEO. “This is a huge undertaking and Sheri and her volunteers never cease to amaze me.”
In 2010, Nugent received the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute of Organizational Management (IOM) professional designation and served as a Board of Regent in Los Angeles, CA from 2010 – 2013.
“Sheri is well-known and respected throughout the nation in the Chamber industry,” said McBride. “We’re lucky to have her.”
Nugent has volunteered on the United Way Program Review committee and has served in all board capacities for the Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains (CAC), earning the Board Hero award in 2015.
Nugent earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Texas Tech University in 1994 and received her MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2007. She is also an alumnus of Leadership Lubbock.
