    Job Description

    Busy insurance agency seeks part-time (20 hours/week) Bookkeeper/Personal Assistant.

    Major responsibilities include:

    • Assist with Bank Reconciliations
    • Intermediate Account Analysis
    • Intermediate Account Reconciliation
    • Basic Accounts Payable
    • Intermediate Accounts Receivable
    • Advanced Billing
    • Advanced Journal Entries
    • Intermediate General Ledger
    • High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s/Associates degree in Accounting preferred.
    • Prefer 3 years of bookkeeping experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Previous experience with accounting software
    • Excellent General Ledger experience
    • Outstanding verbal communication and written English skills
    • Excellent organizational, follow up, professionalism, dependable, excellent accuracy, attention to detail and someone who is a fast learner
    • Composes letters, emails, and memoranda as directed or in response to inquires
    • Reads and screens incoming correspondence and reports; makes preliminary assessment of the importance of materials and organizes documents; handles some matters personally and forwards appropriate materials to the executive and staff
    • Produces a variety of documents, charts, graphs, and presentations in final form
    • Prepares agenda and collects materials for meetings, speeches, and conferences
    • Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries
    • Manages calendar for executive.
    • Reviews, proofreads, and edits documents prepared for the executive's signature
    • Compiles and maintains records, statistical information, and reports
    • Other tasks as assigned
