We are excited to celebrate one of Lubbock’s best kept secrets—that the Lubbock and West Texas areas grow over 80 percent of the grapes in all Texas wines! Help us to celebrate the culture of grape-growing and wine-making in the Lubbock area, while attracting wineries from all over the state that would like to introduce their wines to the public! Come experience great wine, beer, food and music.Two different events will take place - A Taste of Lubbock: A Wine and Food Pairing Event. Tickets are sold separately for each. (See details below)
- Make plans to attend A Taste of Lubbock Uncorked: A Wine and Food Pairing Event, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27th, at the TTU McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center. Join key players in the wine industry and help celebrate "Doc" McPherson award winner while enjoying wine and food pairings from the surrounding area. - Lubbock Uncorked, to be open to the public from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday, April 28th, at the American Wind Power Museum, 1701 Canyon Drive, give your business and employees an opportunity to network with wine-makers and other businesses and professionals while tasting amazing wine, food and beer, and listening to musicians at the windmill museum. Food trucks and local restaurants will be on hand to provide tastes of some of the best food Lubbock has to offer. Tickets for Lubbock Uncorked are $30 in advance, and $40 at the door. Tickets will go on sale soon.
- A cooking class will be offered to attendees of Lubbock Uncorked! Two class times are available at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Seating is limited, so get your tickets now! Ticket cost is $20 and includes food and wine during the class. Featured Chef is Tony Pina of the Hilton Garden Inn. Sponsored by the Go Texan Program, Republic National Distributing Company and the Hilton Garden Inn. The classes will be open for registration soon or you can stop by the Chamber to pick up your tickets today!
