2017 Community Prayer Luncheon
The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will host the Community Prayer Luncheon, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center (1501 Mac Davis Lane). The Community Prayer Luncheon is held annually in honor of the National Day of Prayer.
Our theme this year is For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear Us... Forgive Us...Heal Us! Taken from Daniel 9:19, which says, “O Lord, Listen! O Lord, Forgive! O Lord, Hear and Act! For Your Sake, O My God...”. As the 2017 National Day of Prayer on May 4th approaches, thousands of individuals, churches, and communities will be working to rally millions of Christian’s to once again heed this call!

Tickets for the luncheon are $50. Chamber members receive a discounted price of $35.
The featured speakers for this event are Patrick Gray and Justin Skeesuck, life-long friends who have a relationship spanning over 40 years. Over the past 20+ years, a progressive neuromuscular disease has slowly taken away Justin’s ability to use his arms and legs. In the spring of 2012, Justin learned about the Camino de Santiago and asked Patrick what he thought about tackling the ancient pilgrimage. Patrick’s response was simple and direct. He said, “I’ll push you.”
With a movie coming out in late 2017, their goal with the film is for others to walk away recognizing each life is not defined by its limitations, but is defined by what is accomplished in spite of those limitations.
Sponsorships for this event are still available. For more information about sponsorships or the event, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 806-761-7000.
