Congratulations to the November Ambassador of the Month, Javier Minjarez!

Minjarez is the small business banker for Happy State Bank and has been a Lubbock Chamber Ambassador since he started at Happy State two months ago. His position at Happy State gives him the opportunity to work with small business owners to promote business development and manage small business term loans, as well as consumer and mortgage loans.

Minjarez said that being a part of the Ambassador program has given him the opportunity to come out of his shell and develop networking skills in a welcoming environment. Minjarez said that his favorite activities to attend as an Ambassador are ribbon cuttings because he enjoys being a part of the support system for new businesses.

Minjarez said that being a Lubbock Chamber Ambassador is a rewarding experience because of the opportunity to welcome new businesses to the Lubbock area and celebrate community milestones. Outside of the Chamber, Minjarez also assists families with basic money skills around Lubbock and promotes financial literacy.
