Meet December Ambassador of the Month Lori Lee

I love being a Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Ambassador!  I joined the Chamber and the adult world in August 2018, after teaching elementary school and hanging out with 9-year-olds for 26 years.  The Ambassadors are such an incredible and energetic group, it’s been huge for me.  The most rewarding aspect of being part of this wonderful organization is that it has given me so many new friends, and business connections.  I love all the ribbon cuttings, it’s such an exciting time for Lubbock and I love encouraging businesses.  I really love to see people succeed!  I haven’t been Ambassador of the Month before, but I did come in second to Pauline, so that’s pretty tall cotton right?  She sets the bar high, and has taught me some things about networking. I appreciate her help, and look forward to getting to know all the Ambassadors better.

In my “real life” I’m a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Anderson Properties.  I help buyers, sellers, and investors transfer property in the most beneficial way for them.  I serve as an advocate for my clients in all aspects of real estate. People’s homes are so important, and an agent can be critical!  I love residential work, and enjoy Farm & Ranch very much, as well.  I work with a mentor in commercial real estate, so we can service those needs too.  My main benefit is that I serve as a concierge through the whole process and beyond.  Once I have a client, I intend to keep them for life!  I go above and beyond the norm, because I value customer service above all else, and I commit to that excellence for my clients.  Berkshire Hathaway is an outstanding company and I’m thrilled to be a part of the Warren Buffett family.  We recently won another JD Powers award for customer service and our resources are beyond amazing.

Other activities include: volunteering at the BBQ Cook-off and Uncorked.  I’m on the Prayer and Education Committees of the Chamber as well.  My charity of choice is Easy R Equine Rescue, because animals and kids have my heart.  I’m donating 10% of my commissions this year to them; I’m willing and able to muck stalls, as well!  I will be organizing a care package drive for an Army base in Kuwait soon, so please keep that in mind.  You can help by collecting treats and toiletries now!  My son is being deployed and I want to make sure that no one in his company gets left out of receiving goodies.  I have a vision of Lubbock adopting a group of soldiers and showing them tons of love!  I also continue to mentor students, in fact I took a couple of them to lunch yesterday. That helps me stay connected and keep serving “my babies”.  My stepfather is very ill, so I help as much as I can with him.

Thanks very much to Cathy, Kim Davis, and Kim Putman for everything!  Y’all are so fabulous!! #GOTEAMCHEEK!!
