Congratulations to Melanie Cornwell for being selected as the August Ambassador of the Month! She is the owner of MLC Resources,LLC, and facilitates workshops on leadership, communication and team building.

“My goal is to add value to individuals and teams through helping them grow personally and professionally,” Cornwell said.

Cornwell has enjoyed her time as an Ambassador because of the opportunity to be an integral part of the business community here in Lubbock.

“The most rewarding part is seeing the amazing people that are part of it and knowing that I am helping to encourage, build and improve Lubbock’s business community,” Cornwell said.

Cornwell’s favorite event to attend as an Ambassador is ribbon cuttings because she is able to see all the new businesses and celebrate anniversaries of important businesses in our community. Cornwell enjoys staying in the know about what is going on in Lubbock’s business community.

“Being an Ambassador has opened my eyes to serving so many different areas of Lubbock, whether it be through non-profits, business interactions and support or networking,” Cornwell said. “The people that are part of the Ambassador family and the Lubbock business community is what makes being an Ambassador so important to me.”

Besides Cornwell’s duties as an Ambassador, she also serves on the Hub City BBQ Committee, the Lubbock Chamber Community Prayer Luncheon Committee and is the Assistant Team Lead for the Ambassador’s Team Salamon.

Outside of the Lubbock Chamber, Cornwell is very involved in the children’s ministry at her church and trains therapy bunnies for nursing homes and hospitals.
