NWT PTAC at Texas Tech University Presents How to do Business with TxDOT for Business Owners

LUBBOCK, TX (July 19, 2022) – Texas Tech University’s Northwest Texas Procurement Technical Assistance Center (NWT PTAC) is hosting an in-person event on Aug. 4, 2022, at 11:30am with light lunch provided to business owners. Speakers include Mr. Ken Wood, State Procurement Division Director of TxDOT along with 2 representatives from TxDOT’s civil rights and construction areas to share up-to-date information about how to do business with TxDOT.

PTAC provides no-charge training and technical assistance to businesses interested in contracting with federal, state, and local governments. Area business owners are invited to contact our offices for one-on-one assistance, training workshops and business matchmaking events or learn more about the numerous services we offer.

“We feel very fortunate to have the expertise and knowledge of TxDOT to visit Lubbock to talk to business owners,” said Rich Lyles, Program Director of the NWT PTAC. “Mr. Ken Wood leads 130 full-time employees based in 23 of the 25 TxDOT districts.”
NWT PTAC has three centers located throughout the 95-county area housed with universities of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Abilene, and Wichita Falls (Midwestern State University).
