Develop Lubbock Chamber of Commerce plan for engaging Chamber business members to support our public education process.  Help to engage the Lubbock business community in more opportunities to enhance career and technology education, vocational education and ensuring that more Lubbock public school graduates leave high school ready for college, work and citizenship.  Support state-wide business led education reform efforts.  Specific concentration of Chamber planning efforts will concentrate on the following issue areas:

• Lubbock County School Districts Shared Services Initiative
• Lubbock County School Districts Graduation Rate Enhancement Initiative
• Facilitate Business-Education Collaboration
• Support local P-16 Council (Closing the Gaps) initiative with special focus on preparing students for life after high school
